Meet Wally Kerr, Leader of The Kerr Team
An Oklahoma native, Wally Kerr began his real estate career in 1987 after owning and operating a highly successful mobile disc jockey company, Mobile Music Unlimited, which he co-founded in 1979 with two partners.
By the early 2000s, the company had performed at more than 5,400 events using five mobile DJ units. Wally owned and operated the business while earning his BBA from the University of Oklahoma in 1984, before being encouraged to pursue real estate by longtime friend and industry leader Gene McKown.
For 28 years, Wally also served as the official Sooner Club tailgate host prior to every University of Oklahoma home football game. Trusted by Athletic Director Joe Castiglione, Wally entertained crowds of 4,500 to 6,000 passionate fans using trivia, interviews, and live fan interaction — microphone in hand.
Community involvement is central to Wally’s mission. The Kerr Team is a strong supporter of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, and in 2018 Wally served as MC for the annual Dancing for a Miracle event attended by more than 1,000 guests.
The Kerr family is also deeply committed to Parkinson’s research, donating over $40,000 since 2012 in support of local OB/GYN Dr. Nicole Jarvis and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Her local gala alone has raised more than $1,000,000 toward finding a cure.
A Rotarian since 2009, Wally is a member of Norman’s oldest Rotary Club, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2018. The club also includes former Rotary International President Ron Burton, reflecting the leadership and service culture Wally proudly upholds.
